ACT WorkKeys Testing Dates

ACT WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system that helps employers select, hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performance workforce. This series of tests measures foundational and soft skills and offers specialized assessments to target institutional needs.

The paper based version of ACT WorkKeys will be given to all 12th graders at Greenville High and Georgiana on February 10th. McKenzie will be taking the computer based version.

Parenting Classes

Join us for a Parenting Class!  Every Monday from January 26th to March 2nd. Classes will begin at 5:00 in the Georgiana School Library.

LBWCC Scholarship Applications

Scholarship applications for LBWCC are now open for both your graduating students and those who will participate in dual enrollment next year (beginning Fall 2015). The application and criteria are available at this link:  http://www.lbwcc.edu/financial_aid/scholarships.aspx

The deadline for submission of all information is Monday, March 2, 2015. Dual enrollment scholarships are due Friday, March 27.  This is the only opportunity your students will have to apply for scholarships for academic dual enrollment classes.

Regions Scholarship Opportunity

Regions Riding Forward Essay Contest is now accepting entries through February 26, 2015. 16 scholarships of $5,000 each are available to high school students living in states with Regions branches and 16 scholarships of $3.500 each are available to college freshmen, sophmores or juniors from or currently attneding college in states with Regions branches. Junior Class Raises Funds for Prom

The GHS  Junior Class holds fundraisers during their junior year to raise money for prom. The first of these, the 'tis the season holiday brochure, is currently underway. For each sell, 40% of the cost goes directly to the junior class.  You can help support this fundraiser in two ways, by contacting a junior class member or by logging on to www.gaschoolstore.com and entering our school code: 1042191.
