Pioneer Electric Scholarship Application
The Electric Cooperative Foundation, Inc. was created by the electric cooperatives of Alabama in 1997 in an effort to give back to the communities they serve by providing scholarships for post-secondary and vocational education to accredited institutions for qualifying high school seniors. For the spring of 2020, the Foundation will award scholarships to dependents of members of the participating electric cooperatives in each of the 21 districts established by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The sole decision as to whom is to receive the scholarship in each established district will be determined by the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
McKenzie School has been designated as an Alabama Bicentennial School. The school received a gubernatorial commendation signed by Gov. Kay Ivey, a bicentennial flag, and bicentennial-themed school resources and supplies. The program encourages community outreach and improvement projects to connect classrooms with local communities.
