  • Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests Available to Order

    The federal government is now offering at-home COVID-19 tests to U.S. households free of charge. Public health experts and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that Americans use at-home tests if they begin to have symptoms, at least five days after coming in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 or are gathering indoors with a group of people who are at risk of severe disease or unvaccinated.

    Butler County’s Bright Beginnings Pre-K programs are accepting on-line applications for the 2022-2023 school year. Enrollment is open to all children who will be four years of age on or before 9/1/2022. Please click the link below for more information.

    As required by Code of Alabama, Section 16-6B-7, the Butler County Board of Education is making Fiscal Year 2020-2021 accountability reports available to the media, parent organizations and legislators. The Financial Report and the School Safety and Discipline Report (SIR) for the Butler County School System are available for review at the Read More link below. Student achievement data for the school system is available on Alabama State Department of Education website (www.alabamaachieves.org) under Reports & Data, School Performance, Proficiency, 2020-2021 ELA Assessment, 2020-2021 Math Assessment, and 2020-2021 Science Assessment.

  • NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

    The Butler County Board of Education is notifying the public that the Butler County School Board intends to award and enter into a Guaranteed Energy Cost Savings Contract with Schneider Electric Buildings Americas, Inc. The intent of this contract will be to substantially reduce the energy and operational costs for Butler County Schools while greatly improving School facilities and infrastructure.

  • PRESS RELEASE Butler County School System Mask Requirement Extended Until Further Notice

    Due to continued increase in students and staff testing positive for COVID-19 and its variants, we will continue the mask mandate until further notice. All students in grades 1-12 are required to wear masks daily both indoors and out while on school campuses regardless of vaccination status. All students, regardless of age or vaccination status, who utilize Butler County school buses for transportation to and from school, are required to wear masks. This is a mandate issued by the Federal Department of Transportation. All adults in our school buildings are required to wear masks.
