McKenzie has available seats for this school year. If your child turned 4 on or before September 1, he or she is eligible.
You may enroll your child in several different ways:
- Online at https://alaceed.alabama.gov or
- Go by McKenzie School. A Pre-K teacher will be happy to assist you in registering your child.
- Call the Butler County Board of Education and ask for Catherine Tanner. She will assist you in registering your child. (334) 382-2665 extension 1208

McMillian Offered International OpportunityMcKenzie Senior, Jayden McMillian, is serving this year as the Alabama FFA State Secretary. While serving as the State Secretary and attending the National FFA Conference in Washington D.C., McMillian was presented with the opportunity to apply for the International Leadership Seminar for State Officers (ILSSO) in Australia. This international opportunity was only offered to 75 state officers across the nation, and he was selected to represent the state of Alabama.While exploring “The Land Down Under”, he will have the opportunity to learn about global agriculture and cultural differences between the United States and Australia.
McKenzie School Scores an "A" on State Report Card
The Alabama Department of Education has released the Alabama State Report Card, containing a letter grade for schools and school systems across the state. The Report Card reflects several different factors, including academic achievement, academic growth, and chronic absenteeism, as well as graduation rates and college and career readiness for high schools.

McKenzie School has been designated as an Alabama Bicentennial School. The school received a gubernatorial commendation signed by Gov. Kay Ivey, a bicentennial flag, and bicentennial-themed school resources and supplies. The program encourages community outreach and improvement projects to connect classrooms with local communities.
