Operations
Butler County Schools Operations consists of Transportation and Maintenance Departments.
The Transportation Department buses travel over 410,000 miles a year and transports an average of 1,776 students each day. Our school bus drivers must have a Commercial Driver License with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, as well as pass a background check and drug screening in order to train to become a school bus driver. Our mission is to provide the safest, most efficient transportation service to our students and their families.
The Maintenance Department is responsible for coordinating building projects, facilities and grounds maintenance. The department consists of 4 district maintenance personnel and 16 custodians.
The Butler County Board Of Education remains in compliance with EPA’s Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986. In 2016, the school system conducting the three year re-inspections in accordance with EPA’s AHERA Act in 2013. Six month periodic surveillance and the training of employees will continue.
No Asbestos abatement has been conducted at any school within the in the past 12 months.
The asbestos management plans are on file at the office of Mr. William Love and at each individual school. They are available for review during normal business hours. If you have questions, please contact Mr. William Love, the LEA Designated Coordinator.
