AmeriCorps is the national service movement that provides thousands of Americans of all ages and backgrounds with education awards and real world experience in exchange for a year or two of community service. Members may serve up to four terms of service (only eligible for two education awards).

The AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team partners with all Butler County schools (pre-school through high school) and is involved with community centers and events (Safe Harbor, Relay for Life, Hank Williams Festival, Old Time Farm Day, Dunbar Parks & Recreation and the Georgiana Public Library).
